Going out with your Unit is always
something to look forward to, whether it's during the
meeting, a day out at half
term, or as part of a Camp or Pack Holiday.
All the places we list have been visited by groups of young people and the comments are as much theirs as those of the Leaders. Where we can we've given the current entry costs (if any) and suggestions for getting there by public transport. It's good practice to do a pre-visit before the day to make sure that what's in the guidebook is still current, and to talk to the venue staff and agree any special arrangements - this often gives you more 'special touches' than you would get otherwise.
Make very sure that all your Leaders have contact details for everyone, and that they all know exactly what the travel plans etc are - always good when the group has to split because of illness en route for instance.
We'd like your help to expand this resource - please send your own experiences (good or bad - it's just as important to know what didn't work!) to the webmaster together with your name and the name of your Unit..
